This Oliver Award-winning musical is a captivating tale of romance between a peasant girl and a rich city boy whom she saves from death. This calypso-flavored story strives to answer the age-old question, “can love conquer death”, and in its telling, delivers melody, love, and joy in tropical abundance.
This project was supported in part by the United Arts Council of Catawba County through the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural and Cultural Resources, with funding from the State of North Carolina from the National Endowment for the Arts.
